Jackson Design was approached in 2019 and asked to submit a creative brief for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. The new identity was to include changes across the board to all of their products and services, as well as their entire communication strategy. We won the bid and was asked to move forward with the project and it is still going on today, although in it’s final stages.
NBEO needed an updated logo while keeping elements of the existing one for familiarity. The symbol needed to stay similar because it “represents our distinctiveness as an organization. The two crescents encompass our foundation: optometry and testing. This foundation characterizes the confluence of these two professions. Emerging from this foundation are three bars, each increasing in height to represent our past, present, and future. NBEO is continuously striving for excellence in testing in optometry.”
Once the logo was finalized, the corporate stationary was redesigned as well as all of the marketing and conference materials. NBEO also requested templates in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for new presentations as well as news releases.
NBEO is extremely happy with the results of their new look & feel. The website is the last piece and should be finished by the end of 2022.
The mission of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) is, to serve the public and the profession of optometry by developing, administering, scoring, and reporting results of valid examinations that assess competence. If a person wants to become an optometrist of any capacity in the USA, you need to pass their rigorous testing to get your license to practice.
